Santa Ponsa on the island of Majorca today bears little resemblance to the sleepy fishing village it once was. As with most Majorcan resorts, Santa Ponsa is highly developed and tends to be lively and busy, with an active nightlife and excellent beach culture.
A trio of beaches
Santa Ponsa is the principal beach, while the more sheltered Calo den Pellicer is slightly smaller and closer to the marine club. The third, more exclusive beach, is Castellot. The water at all three beaches is warm and clear, and offers safe swimming. A pedestrian promenade runs along the front of the Santa Ponsa beach, complete with beachfront restaurants, bars, shops and caf�s.
Activities aplenty
Step off the beach and there is plenty to do. Santa Ponsa boasts three golf courses, as well as tennis, watersports, horse riding, and sports grounds. Bus services run regularly to neighboring towns and resorts, and there are regular boat trips along the coastline. Although the nightlife here is not on the same scale as Palma or Magaluf there are still restaurants, bars, pubs and discos aplenty.
