Menorca is the quietest of the three Balearic Islands and is often considered the most beautiful – an oasis of sandy coves with more than 120 beaches in clear, azure seas. This tranquil island has a pace of life far removed from its neighbour Majorca with its party atmosphere and is very suited to families and those looking for a relaxing break. |
The south coast with its long, sandy beaches is home to the majority the resorts, ranging from sleepy hamlets to livelier family resorts. Along the west coast the shoreline is rocky and dramatic, with a string of small and peaceful holiday resorts nestling around picturesque coves. The north coast is wild and rocky with only a small area developed for the holiday industry, although it boasts great fishing and the only golf course on the island at Son Parc. |
