Cala Millor (“the Better Bay”) is on the rugged east coast of Majorca,and is separated from its more quiet and traditional neighbour Cala Bona ("the Good Bay") by a small rocky headland. These two resorts have an emphasis on more upmarket tourism than the rowdier Majorca resorts, encouraging visitors to explore the beautiful coastline and interior of the island.
Wide sheltered bay
While most of the east coast of Majorca is dotted with tiny creeks and beautiful coves the beach at Cala Millor stretches for more than 6km along a wonderful wide sheltered bay. The beach here is often considered one of the best on the island, with gently sloping sands and clear water. A good selection of watersports are available, and the promenade which runs along the beachfront has a good selection of bars, cafes and restaurants.
Family fun
Cala Millor is the liveliest of the four resorts along this stretch of coast, with a wide variety of bars and discos supplementing the hotel entertainment. This said, the resort is still perhaps more suited to the traditional family holiday than the 18 to 30s looking to party hard at all night clubs.
