Costa del Silencio in the south of Tenerife was one of the first purpose-built resorts on the island. The resort is popular with Belgian and German tourists, but also draws large numbers of British. Costa del Silencio does not have its own beach, but the beaches at Las Galletas and the immensely popular Playa de Las Americas are within walking distance.

There are plenty of bars, cafes, restaurants and shops, but don’t expect the all-night partying of Las Americas. Costa del Silencio offers the best of both worlds and caters well to those wanting a quiet break close to all the action.
Excursions
There are huge numbers of boat cruises available from the ports at Los Cristianos and Playa de las Americas, offering everything from booze cruises to trips around the island on a sailing boat or catamaran. Most tourists on boat trips are rewarded with the awesome sight of whales and many also see dolphins. There are two nearby golf courses for those wanting a day off the beach.
