Originally considered part of the Playa de las Americas resort, Costa Adeje is now a beachside resort in its own right and a more up-market option. With plenty of amenities but offering a quieter, more secluded holiday than its boisterous neighbour, Costa Adeje often appeals to those looking for a smaller resort that is close to all the action.
Outings
A short distance inland is the spectacular “Barranco del Infierno” or “Hells Gorge”, the deepest ravine in the Canary Islands. A day trip here is an excellent day out, with an exotic array of flora and fauna and scenic waterfalls that make the gorge a sight to remember. For something a bit more energetic you will find a couple of excellent water parks nearby which will keep the young and the young at heart entertained for hours.
Entertainment
Being close to the Playa de Las Americas resort, the nightlife around Costa Adeje can be very lively, particularly if you choose to visit the famous Veronica strip. For families and those who prefer a quieter evening Costa Adeje has more understated bars where you can unwind after a hard day on the beach. For the sports minded there is a golf course nearby, and it is only a short journey along the coast to the resort of Los Cristianos with its many watersports facilities.
