Puerto Alcudia lies in the north of Majorca, 54km from Palma. It is a very friendly, family resort with glorious beaches, fine accommodation and a good selection of bars and restaurants which attract visitors from all over Europe. It is certainly one of the more cosmopolitan resorts.
Beach
The beach is a spectacular 6 miles long. All sorts of activities can be enjoyed from scuba diving to banana rides. Also tennis and squash courts can be found in the resort and nearby attractions include a water park, a go-kart track and horse riding stables. Boats trips can be arranged to the stunning Formentor promontory where passengers can snorkel or simply take in the views.
Nightlife
Alcudia caters for most tastes in its bars, pubs and discos but it is not the resort for serious clubbers. Many of the hotels showcase flamenco dancers, comedians etc The port area offers the best dining where Spanish, French and excellent seafood restaurants nestling into the lovely harbour setting.
